Job Introduction

The Program Coordinator is a high-impact project management position that will provide support for learning initiatives by bringing key skills in content development, learning management, and experience in creating and leading multiple phases of project lifecycles as it concerns the Slum2School Programs.

Core Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will:

  • Develop programs for 2 primary audiences: Learning programs for beneficiaries & mentorship/staff volunteer programs for partners.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations and other related departments to identify subject matter experts: development team, learning platform team, IT team, and content specialists, to leverage core content and build effective and successful learning programs.
  • Develop learning programs that include multiple modalities: self-paced e-learning, virtual and face-to-face workshops
  • Ensure the implementation of the course curriculum for defined outcomes.
  • Monitor & evaluate the progress of beneficiaries and effectiveness of the learning approach
  • Monitor activity, progress, and time-related to project development using a project planning tool.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, presentation decks, and course materials for curriculums.
  • Design and develop dynamic instructional interactions and code of conduct for learners.
  • Ensure learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training materials meet the learning and performance objectives.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on training courses that have been developed.
  •  Assist with quarterly operational reviews, preparation, and analysis.
  • Create and adopt a scalable training model to reduce tribal knowledge and unstructured knowledge transfer.
  • Manage projects and act as a central point of contact for directors, learners, and production team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure resource is planned and resource planner is kept up to date
  • Manage the resources assigned to the project
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is produced and maintained for all projects including project overview, project plans, reports, meeting notes, and project budget trackers
  • Maintain detailed records of the progress of current projects and ensure the progress of all developments is transparent and reported to the relevant people
  • Facilitate project meetings, deliverables during the project lifecycle
  • Manage changes or movement in scope, identify risks, and devise contingency plans

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business administration or other related areas.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proven record as program coordinator or relevant experience in a for-profit or nonprofit organization.
  • Proven record of leadership skills at a mid or senior organizational level.

Reporting Relationships:

The Program Coordinator will report to the Head of Operations
