Slum2School seeks a highly motivated and experienced Campaign Coordinator to lead a global fundraising campaign for Slum2School Africa 10 year vision. As the Campaign Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating all aspects of the campaign, including donor acquisition strategies, fundraising events, digital campaigns, a global campaign for education, and donor stewardship. Your exceptional project management skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities will be key to achieving campaign targets and making a lasting impact on our organization’s mission.

The Campaign Coordinator will have passion and enthusiasm for Slum2School Africa’s mission, and an unwavering commitment to making Slum2School Africa a high-performing Pan-African Development organization. S/He is expected to be a stellar communicator, an exceptional fundraiser, a great presenter, and have an exceptional ability to build confidence and gain the respect of individuals at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the fundraising campaign, including timelines, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Research and identify potential donor segments and devise effective strategies to acquire 100,000 new donors for Y1-Y2.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create compelling campaign messaging, materials, and online/offline promotional assets.

  • Utilize various fundraising channels, including social media, email campaigns, direct mail, events, and corporate partnerships, to reach fundraising targets.

  • Plan and execute fundraising events, coordinating logistics, volunteer management, and attendee engagement to maximize donor acquisition and retention.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring strong donor stewardship and cultivation practices.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to track and analyze campaign progress, monitor fundraising goals, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.

  • Implement effective donor recognition and retention strategies to foster long-term donor relationships and drive donor loyalty.

  • Stay updated with fundraising trends, best practices, and industry developments, incorporating innovative strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage their expertise, resources, and networks to support campaign objectives.

  • Develop and maintain a strong volunteer network, providing guidance and support to volunteers involved in the fundraising campaign.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations and ethical practices.


  • Relevant degree in a related field, such as nonprofit management, marketing, business management, or communications.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in fundraising or nonprofit organizations.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing fundraising campaigns, with a focus on donor acquisition and revenue generation.

  • Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies, data management, donor cultivation techniques, and campaign planning and execution.


  • Strong relationship, business, and project management skills.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative, uses sound, independent judgment, and discretion, and seeks guidance and feedback where appropriate – a doer as well as a manager.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage teams, departments, and projects simultaneously.

  • Professionalism, empathy, maintaining a sense of humor, and interacting with a diverse array of people from all walks of life

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in utilizing various fundraising platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.

  • Passion for the mission and vision of Slum2School Africa and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children.
